Creating a university Third-Place center: towards a focus on the Commons?

The aim of our paper is to describe the experimentation and implementation of a university third-place, an approach initiated in the IUT, then opened up to the Campus and the City. This experimentation questions the theoretical (economic, legal) question of the commons and its application, in turn, on the ground, with the fundamental question of the governance of this third-place. Our approach confirms the possibility of implementing a multi-disciplinary action-research process within a technical Institute.

Notre proposition de communication vise à relater l'expérimentation et la mise en oeuvre d'un tiers-lieu universitaire, démarche initiée en IUT, puis ouverte sur le Campus et la Cité. Cette expérimentation interroge la question théorique (économique, juridique), des communs, des biens communs et son application, en retour, sur le terrain, avec la question fondamentale de la gouvernance de ce tiers-lieu. Notre démarche confirme la possibilité de mettre en oeuvre un processus de recherche-action pluridisciplinaire au sein d'un IUT.
